"Breathe Easy"

Anyone who suffers with cystic fibrosis will tell you that breathing can get difficult. To put yourself in the shoes of someone who has cystic fibrosis, try the following:

  • take a drinks straw and put it in your mouth, sealing your lips around it
  • now pinch your nose
  • take 6 deep breaths in and out
  • notice the resistance and difficulty you feel?

That's how someone with cystic fibrosis feels every second of every day...

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds research into therapies and studies that help people cope with the condition. Although there is still no cure, many new treatments are available and things are looking promising.
